THE CHALLENGE

Deliver five times the flow area between two cased wellbores separated by up to two feet of consolidated formation.

THE RESULT

Confidently drilled a relief well under the world media spotlight knowing that a direct intersection wouldn’t be required to perform a successful well kill.

TRIPLE TARGET

THE CHALLENGE

Achieve productive penetration through 3½-inch tubing, 6½-inch gravel pack screen, and 9⅝ -inch casing using a 2-inch system.

THE RESULT

Economically extended the productive life of stacked gravel packed wells with through-tubing perforation instead of a work over.

RECORD SETTING

THE CHALLENGE

Provide 12 in²/ft of area open to ﬂow in 10-1/8” 79# SM-125S casing with 7 inch guns. No existing system could get close.

THE RESULT

Developed a new 7” 15 SPF gun system that delivered 14.8 in²/ft flow area in an API RP 19B registered and witnessed test – setting a new industry performance standard. Shortly thereafter we added 4⅝” and 5” systems delivering similar industry-leading performance through heavy-wall casing.
